　　杀身成仁

　　不惜牺牲生命以成就仁德，后引申为为了正义事业或崇高理想献身。孔子提出此说，并不意味着不珍视人的生命，只是认为在保全生命之上，人应当有更高的追求，也即是成就仁德，实现人类的崇高理想。当保全生命与成就仁德发生冲突的时候，应该不惜牺牲宝贵的生命。

　　Sacrifice Life to Preserve Virtue

　　Coined by Confucius, the concept of sacrificing one's life to preserve virtue complete did not mean that he did not value human lives, rather he believed that beyond the preservation of life, people should have a higher pursuit, that is, to preserve their virtue. According to him, for those who aspire to develop or preserve virtue, when they have to choose between life and virtue, they should choose the latter.

　　引例 子曰：“志士仁人，无求生以害仁，有杀身以成仁。”（《论语·卫灵公》）（孔子说：“有志之士与仁德之人，没有因为贪生而违背仁德、丧失崇高理想的，而是宁可牺牲生命，也要成全仁德的修炼，实现对道德价值的至高追求。”）
